President Donald Trump has pardoned former Sheriff Joe Arpaio from his criminal contempt conviction, removing the only legal consequences the lawman faced stemming from a racial-profiling suit.

    This should be a bipartisan issue, but for some reason it isn't. I disagree with the Maricopa County suggestion that suspicion of illegal residency should be, by itself and with no other suggestion that any other crime has been committed, probable cause for detainment. How will the typical police officer make that judgment call? The answer is that there is no reasonable way to make this call, and the courts have ruled that this is the case. You may have a strange accent, or you may dress or look differently than the people around here, so you might be here illegally, and so you are being detained. If this were the case you could be detained in Maricopa County for no functional reason other than to piss you off.

    Joe Arpio will still.have to serve 6 months in Jail. As presidential pordons can only work after 5 years. And Arpio sentance has a maximum sentence of 6 months.

    All this news paper is doing is making Trump supporters look racist..
